dhecar - 07 August 2013 01:19 AM

Using v0.7.19_svn version of MAGMI but I’m getting this error when try to import images:

Image attributes processor v1.0.26 - error creating media/catalog/product/m/f: 2,mkdir(): Permission denied
Image attributes processor v1.0.26 - error creating media/catalog/product/m/f: 2,mkdir(): Permission denied
Image attributes processor v1.0.26 - error creating media/catalog/product/m/f: 2,mkdir(): Permission denied

@spilla

Your nobody:nobody 0644 is surely a web hosting security configuration for web server user.

Lauching UI, the user that will write the file will be the web server user. so not much to do about it :(

For the chaining, i’ll update the wiki ASAP

Hi

I’ve developed easy product transfer in and out of Magento. I check it out. All suggestions are welcome

It allows you to:
- Export products from Magento to XML (at the moment it supports only smaller B2B shops).
- Transfer products between Magento shops (simple and configurable).
- Import products from XML file (again smaller B2B shops are supported atm) to Magento.

The site is available on http://hub.modulabs.com

NOTE: system is still under development. all suggestions are welcome.

HI all

Magmi v0.7.18 and On the fly category creator/importer v0.2.3

If you create a directory in another language address directory in the DB is not added. What to do for this?

$sql="INSERT INTO $tb (entity_type_id,attribute_id,store_id,entity_id,value) VALUES “.implode(”,",$inserts)." ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE value=VALUES(`value`)”;

UPDATE how to write an address directory, like this or what?

foreach($attinfo as $attrcode=>$attdata)
{
if(isset($attdata["attribute_id"]))
{
$data[]=$catid;
$data[]=$cattrs[$attrcode];
}
}
$sql="UPDATE $tb SET value=? WHERE entity_id=? AND value=""";
$data=array("translitIt($cattrs[$attrcode])",$catid);
$this->update($sql,$data);

We sell an extension at http://nelageek.com/external-images/ that will allow you to use remote URLs for images.

It imports images on-the-fly so you don’t have to continue running the import over and over.  If you wish to change the image for a product, simply edit the product and change the url for the image.  The next time the product is viewed the image will be updated.

Install is a breeze and it works with Magento 1.4+. Great deal for only $45US.

Hello everyone.

I use magmi Version 0.7.18
Is it possible to specify the sort order of pictures with media_gallery?

I can not find any information. I need to organize the order of photos in the gallery in the frontend

Thank you for any information that could help me

Nicolas

@nicolas95

current insertion position of gallery image should take into account image order in media_gallery column.

So if you put (image1,image2,image3) in media_gallery, they’ll respectly get position 0,1 & 2 .

Of course, when “adding” new image to an existing gallery , then the next image position will start at 3

I’ll update the latest git version to have explicit ordering support soon.

Hi,

I’m afraid I’m having trouble with the Value Replacer.

My CSV has a column “code”.

I am using column mapping to change this to ‘sku’.

However I need my sku to have a prefix.  ie sku “1234” must become sku “XX-1234”

The column mapping works but if I try and use the value replacer, the import just hangs.  I’ve tried all permeatations and been reading up on this for hours.  This should be simple!

Can anyone help?  A screen shot of the appropriate field inputs would be perfect.

Thanks

I couldn’t believe how bad the standard Magento import functionality was, and was on the verge of quitting Magento ...then I found MAGMI - fantastic work Dweeves - this is a fine addition, I’m still finding my way around it - but so far am loving the flexibility and power - many thanks indeed!

So onto my first challenge that I’ve failed to figure out how to do - anyone know how I can specify in the CSV via Magmi that I don’t want Magento to manage stock - ie set “manage_stock” to “0”?

I’m guessing there are some other related fields that need to be changed for this to be accepted - as simpl adding this column to the file doesn’t do anything.

Thanks all

Hi if using value replacer, no need for column mapper wink
value replacer will create a virtual column for all attribute names not matching the columns in csv.
In your case , uncheck column mapper , and only use value replacer with the following settings:

replaced attributes sku
new value for sku XX-{item.code}

and that should do the trick

Hi Dweeves!

Thanks for the response.  I dont think that’s quite what I’m looking for.  I noticed I missed out an important word - “values”!

So current csv is:

code,
123,
456,
789,

Should become:

sku,
XX-123,
XX-456,
XX-789,

This is why I was trying to do column mapping for the Attribute Name and Value Replacer for the Values.  I guess this isn’t right?
