Is it possible to force dropdown boxes in a configurable product to select/choose when there’s only 1 option available in them?
For example:
Dropdown 1: Fruit Type
Options are Apple or Banana
Dropdown 2: Fruit Colour
options are Red, Green and Yellow
Is someone selects an Apple, which can be either Green or Red, then it makes sense to ask them to choose a colour, but if they select Banana and there’s only 1 colour a banana can be in our shop, then it seems a bit crappy to force them to ‘choose’ a colour.
We have some pretty complex products on offer with 4 dropdowns in some cases and with some combinations if someone chooses a particular value as the first option, there’s only 1 simple product that can be, yet the customer still has to ‘choose’ and fill in the next 3 boxes.
Can anyone think of a way to make this work?
