The one i have currently doesnt have everything i want, and doesnt work properly in internet explorer.

I think you’d be looking at a couple of days work. Half a day for some design concepts, another half day to allow for your tweaks to reach an agreed design. The second day would be code the page, implement it and test it in a variety of browsers.

Im not neccesarily wanting a total re design, maybe just someone that could sort out the layout and make it compatible with IE.

What he said, it amazes me these people who offer magneto sites for say £500, I can oly assume they just do the installation and add an off the shelf theme with no thought to how the site should be tailored to the merchant’s product range/customers.
