Create a Favicon.ico Here!!! http://www.degraeve.com/favicon/ then upload to the image folder in your theme! yay a new favicon and its an .ico so no more problems of it not showing! make sure its name is favicon.ico if you want to have more than one then youll need to place each one into different themes image folders so they dont overwrite eachother.
I didn’t try the generator above, but I tried a bunch and was not happy with the results.
I case your are a picky as me and you are using adobe photoshop the plugin from http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/ worked great.
I first created a 16x16 graphic in illustrator, copied and pasted it into photoshop and exported as an ico file.
I am also trying to replace default favicon.ico with my new favicon. I have replaced it and it just only reflect on Mozilla not on IE. Still getting default favicon.ico.
and sometimes IE takes time to reflect the favicon. In my case i have clear everything cookie n all but its appear after few hours.. even u can check on another pc ..

hey thanks for the website by default all of the cms provide their favicons hence making it easier to comprise the security of the site, also putting a favicons helps to personalize the size
