FAO Varien/Magento team: PLEASE DO NOT close bug tickets without explanation

Hi,

This has been happening for months now...well, actually - since the beginning. I submit a bug ticket. It sometimes even gets assigned. Then, suddenly - it’s CLOSED. No explanation, no comment - nothing.

Now - if I can take the time to submit a bug issue - why is it such a problem to at least comment on a ticket if it has been closed? Do you not want to deal with community submitted bugs at all?

And very sadly, nothing has changed since October 7th 2008. Tickets are still closed without even an explanation or a comment.
