Magento

I’m wondering if anyone knows how Magento handles the payment process.  Currently, our cart is configured to have the payment gateway (payflow pro) only authorizes the customer’s card at checkout.  Then we queue it for batch processing later that evening… and then the payment gateway batch processes all the orders that are in the queue and passes the funds to our merchant account.

How does Magento handle this process?  Is it similar?  If not, would it be difficult to configure it to do it similarly?

Right now Magento allows you to setup the PayFlowPro payment gate to authorize or capture at time an order is placed.

We are working on mass updates to our grids (lists of items such as orders products etc...) and will keep your request in mind.

But if this does not make into the first release it should not be to hard to add such functionality if there is an assumption of supporting one payment gateway.
