Once agin, Paypal standard IPN notice url had been chaged again in 1.4.1.0

www.yoursite.com/paypal/ipn/

Since now, all the combination had been used: paypal/standard/ipn/ on 1.3+, and paypal/ipn/standard/ on 1.4.0. and now papal/ipn/ on 1.4.1.

please guess, what would be on next version?

FYI:

On my upgrade to 1.4.1.0, SOME of my PayPal information was present in the Admin Config. area.

In particular, I noticed that the API fields had security star / asterisk content. “*******”

However, I had to re-enter my actual API information in those fields.  They were either incorrect, or merely placeholders, not my actual correct API information.

My upgrade was a leapfrog from 1.3.2 to 1.4.1.0; I am not sure how many users this will affect.

Short Story: Double-check / re-enter all of your PayPal information, do not assume it’s there.....

It will remain as in 1.4.1.0.

You did right, exactly as it was advised in release notes.

ok, 1.4.1.0 changed the ipn link (with enabled webserver rewrite) to :

http://www.domain.com/paypal/ipn/

How about the link

http://www.domain.com/paypal/standard/success/

Changed or not?

And where I can find the official doc. about these links?  Thx.

The “standard/success” didn’t change. Why asking?

There are no official docs yet. I have created a request to create it, but don’t expect it soon. :(

Deeply Thx.
Just because the paypal ipn link always change, how can I know the “standard/success” didn’t change?
And I can’t found any info. related to the change of ipn link except this post.
So I ask for the official document of the related links.

Hi all!

Unfortunately, I wanted to try ipn with Paypal Sandbox but I always get this answer:
‘IPN delivery failed. HTTP error code 404: Not Found’

I tried everything: all the links, w or wo ../index.php/ even if my server has URL rewrites enabled, all versions of the link even if i have 1.4.1.0 installed.
Magento is installed on a subdomain so the link might be: http://sub.domain.ch/paypal/ipn (the one was intended to work...).

Any idea?

Thx!

We’re getting emailing from paypal saying that our IPN urls are incorrect, that our URLs are
<domain>/paypal/ipn/direct,
<domain>/paypal/ipn/standard, and
<domain>/paypal/ipn/express,

Which, I believe was for 1.4.0, but now in 1.4.1.1, it should only be <domain>/paypal/ipn.  And I verified this in the code, so I don’t know how our site is passing /direct, /standard, and /express to paypal.  Are these URLs cached anywhere?  I searched all code and database entries for these URLs and they definely don’t exist anywhere in 1.4.1.1.  I’m baffled.  Any suggestions anyone?

@anton There is no mentioning in the releasenotes about change of the paypal return url to now be www.yoursite.com/paypal/ipn/ since 1.4.1.0 instead of www.yoursite.com/paypal/ipn/ standard/ so it would be really valuable if this could be readily confirmed by someone from the Magento Team? I don’t feel that is the case of what have been said above.

So what is the correct URL for 1.5?

paypal/ipn/standard/

or

paypal/standard/ipn/

This may or may not be related, but I am on 1.5, and a majority of orders display with the status “Suspected Fraud”, even though the transaction is OK in PayPal.

I was having this error of “Suspected Fraud” when testing with the Paypal sandbox.  I noticed that the field I was sending “mc_gross” did not match my order total in Magento. I changed this to match and resent the IPN and eveything worked fine. the order was moved to processing.
Have a look at the file app/code/core/Mage/Paypal/Model/Standard.php to see which IPN fields are important to Magento.  The function ipnPostSubmit() cares about mc_gross and payment_status=="Completed".
You could temporarily modify this file to get more debug. Make sure debug is turned on for Paypal. Goto System>Configuration>Paypal and in the tab Website Payments Standards Setting make sure Debug Mode is “Yes”
The order comment history also gives information.  Go to admin>sales>orders and pick an order and look at the history.
I was seeing comments like

1 Apr 2011 06:51:15Suspected Fraud |Customer Notified
IPN
"Completed"Order is suspended as its capture amount €0.00 is suspected to be fraudulentTransaction ID"541545".
The successful comment looks like this
1 Apr 2011 07:16:37|Processing
Customer Notification Not Applicable
IPN
"Completed"Registered notification about captured amount of €0.66Transaction ID"541545".

someone has solved? I have the problem of “Suspected fraud” in the most orders. I work with a 1.5.1 version of Magento, I read the settings for ipn, paypal for shipping calculation but the problem is not solved. I ran out of ideas. If anyone can help me I would be grateful!
