•Steps In my Install:
I did the install came to the instalation page after that: I selected SLL to be HTTP on port 80 (because i don’t have SSL). The host i did try localhost didn’t work got the error with can’t find mysql.sock after that tried 127.0.0.1:3307 didn’t work at last i tried var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock that did it so put in my password and after that it gave the error

Beta 0.6.14100
Preview Version

• PHP
PHP is run as CGI and used the work around

Fixed:

Instead of using the socket like /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
I used 127.0.0.1 in the host field instead of
127.0.0.1:3306 or localhost
this fixed the problem for me
