First of all, I’ve just started testing Magento yesterday, and I love it!
Its easy to use, great system, great functionality ( i really appreciate the multi store capability! )
You guys are doing a great job with this!

About the feature, sorry for the post if its already implemented, I haven’t found it yet.

The feature I think would be interesting is a Admin moderation, for example, lets have 2 Users, ‘Admin’ and ‘Authorized’.

For example ‘Authorized’ is allowed do to changes to the products ( like price, description, etc) but those changes have to be the cleared (authorized, accepted, whatever you want to call it) by the Admin before being committed to the DB.

Is this possible?

ok another feature (sorry) ...
If using multiple stores, is it possible to define which store a user can “administrate” ? if user1 is from store1 I wouldn’t want him to change the database info of store2 for example.

Hello Silva. Unfortunately the permission system does not provide the functionality you’ve stated above.

Hope this helps smile

Thanks!

I second this request (and I mentioned this in a lot more detail in another thread here on the forum), and I will tell you why:

Once your little business starts growing and you start hiring people, natural job descriptions will start to form around web site tasks.  For example:

Content Director and content writers
Marketing director/specialist/SEO guy
Product specialist
Administrator
...
etc.

Now, if my content writers could only just login with a username, create content right in the admin using a wsywig editor, then save it “to be approved”, then I could login as admin (or a future head of content management) could login and approve the content.  Once approved it appears on the site.

Even if you don’t have several employees, let’s say you hire someone to write content part-time.  All you have to do is give them limited access in the admin to the content writing area and they are ready to go.

To me this so important.  Our business is growing fast and we’re looking for a cart that scales and is ready when you start to throw employees at it.

This accounts / and approval options would be awesome!!!

BTW, for things like articles and products, you don’t have to do a system where something is approved before being written to the DB.  Have it written to the DB, but make an approval attribute that if flagged will make the content/product appear on the site.
