Hello people,

I’m facing a problem that I can’t solve.
I’ve been searching any topic about this and can’t find any solution.

When I click on a “Add to cart” , Firefox tries to load a page unsuccessfully. Then it displays this message:

“Firefox detected that the server redirects this address query in a way that will not lead anywhere.”
(Sorry, translated from french!)

I tried to repair my database, but it did not change anything.

Did anyone face this problem before?
It’s puzzling me because my website is almost finished, and I can’t move forward to the last testings and all…

Help will be appreciated: I can exchange some design tips about your website’s ergonomy smile

Regards
Marie

What did you edit to get to this point?

This can be the result of a coding error.

Hello nikefido,

Thanks for your quick answer.
I’ve only been through some template editing (layout files and template files).

Do you have an idea of what could cause such a problem? Do you feel like pointing out .xml pr .phtml files ?
I sent you my website URL by pm.

By the way, verrrrry nice blog, keep going smile

Thanks!

This error could come from a change in a phtml file - but it could be ANY that you edited. You’re best bet is to check / change files you have recently edited for the error if possible.

edit: since the problem arises from the “cart” section, it’s safe to assume the problem arises from that area.

On the cart page specifically, which .phtml files were you editing? Perhaps you can post that code for us to look at. (Did you change any .php files or only .phtml?)

OK, you’re right.
I’ll go for a deep checking process, maybe by saving my .phtml files, then replacing them by the ones from the default theme and replace them one by one by mines. Then I’ll be able to see which one causes a problem.

If I find it, i’ll post it so you all can see it.

Many thanks for the time you spend to help me!

Hello Nikefido,

You were right: I solved the problem by repairing the “price.phtml” file.

Thank you for your support!
Don’t hesitate to ask me for any design tip.
