I have done a clean install via SSH on a my webserver. chmodded all the correct files and folders.  I hit my page/magento and it prompted me for all the install info. All goes well and I get to the completion page where it says go to frontend or go to backend. I click go to backend and it wont disply the page. The frontend is fine but anything account related will not display.  What did I screw up?

Thanks.

Edit. this was the latest full install build 0.6.1.3700

Any help here would be great.

As you can see frontend works

http://midwayservers.com/magento

But backend does not http://midwayservers.com/magento/admin

Nor does login or account work from the front end.

Well I just read Mels post and workaround so I had deleted the install and dropped the tables.  Then reinstalled to home directory not a subfolder. I still had the same issue so dropped tables again but they repopulated?  Wierd.  Then I finally got to the admin login page and the user I created didn’t work so I tried your default one for your demo admin and 123123. It let me in like flint.  Curious as to how the tables repopulated though and as to how it used a default password for admin login.

Either way it is now running so I can give it a thorough testing.
