Broken Search With Lighttpd - inc. Fix

There is a problem using Lighttpd and Magetno and enabling web server rewrites, whereby the search form and grid/list view doesn’t work. The problem is due to lighttpd’s server.error-handler-404 and it not passing GET arguments. See here for more details

To fix it, I used this guys code for typepad and put it at the top of index.php… I realise this is probably not the best place for the chunk of code but it works. If you could add this to the next release that would be great smile

function asy_fix_querystring() {
if (!strstr($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'],'?') or !empty($_GET))  return;
