Magento is amazing! Its like you read our minds and then actually built it instead of just talking about it. Way to go! If Magento is this good coming out of the gate companies like DemandWare and Market Live have got to be getting nervous about now as the open source community prepares to show them how its done

My feature request is in regards to order management and fulfillment. We use multiple warehouses, which means if a customer places an order from Brand X, Brand Y, and Brand Z they will receive 3 boxes from us. Right now, our order management software (Order Motion) creates branded packing slips for each warehouse and automatically emails them a PDF for them to print out and include in the order.

Does Magento have a way to handle this scenario or is this something that we’ll have to build ourselves or wait for a future release? If they could login and print out a packing slip that would also work.

At this time we do not have plans to have drop-shipment support out-of-the-box. Using the ACL feature of Magento admin you will be able to create roles for people to log-in to print PDF’s of the orders but the way it is implemented they will see the whole order.

We will consider adding this functionality in the future by us or by the community.

This is good to know. In the near term we can always find a work around but its a feature that would be very helpful.
