Is Google Sitemaps supposed to output disabled products, too?

Seems that for some reason my installation of Magento and Google Sitemaps wants to add disabled products to the XML.

Anyone idea why, or this by design?

Cheers.

For the products you don’t want to show up on the Google Sitemap output, just set the visibility of the product to “Nowhere”.  Setting the status to “disabled” is not good enough.
