Hi shayneTSG,

Do you have mod_rewrite enabled ? Does the simple test script

<?php phpinfo(); ?>
created under magento folder display all the info ?

I don’t quite know what you mean, I have reuploaded all the files to my web server. I am now getting the following error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, or webmaster and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Please help

OPEN a text editor (not something like ms word)
COPY AND PASTE the simple script michael provided
SAVE IT as phpinfo.php and UPLOAD it to your server
OPEN THE FILE you just uploaded via its URL (http://blahblah.com/phpinfo.php)

i hope these are simple enough steps.
honestly, even a vague idea of how php works should be in everyones interest if you do any sort of work on the internet.

I Have run the file (thanks for the help)

The server is running apache, it has mod_rewrite in installed moduals. I did notice that virtual directory support is disabled.

Thanks for any help you can offer

If you want to have a look at the information http://www.tsgsystems.co.uk/phpinfo.php

There’s no pdo_mysql nor mysqli support in your PHP. Both of them are required to run Magento. You can try to install Magento under php5-cgi (that includes everything required) as described in Installing Magento on a PHP4 server Knowledge base article.

Do you have an access to your account error logs ? It would be great to track what does it say there.

Hi,

I have just got it working by adjusting the .htaccess file. I can access the ADMIN section but I am still getting a server error on the frontend.

Any help?

Cheers
