I have downloaded the new google chrome browser and I think it is a must have for those working in the admin on Magento.

Viewing orders, editing/adding products, and all other things needed to be done on the admin side are very fast now.

I am very impressed with the speedup of doing everything on the backend now.

It’s really nice if you create an application shortcut with it as well.  It takes away all of the browser ‘chrome’, you get a simple window containing just the admin site.  smile

Didn’t even think about doing that. That makes it very nice for those here at work.

While the browser cannot speed up server side processing (the main reason behind slowness in magento), Chrome handles Javascript and HTML processes much better than other browsers (has superior memory management, etc)
