I recently did an import of products and I’m now noticing that about 12 of the 250+ products we imported ended up creating duplicate id’s...making it seemingly impossible to access the specific product we need.
Any ideas how we can go in and manually correct this?
With product attributes being spread across dozens of tables, fixing the damage already done seems near impossible.
Other then weeding your way through the database you might be out of luck.
Here are a couple of ideas
1 - Try to do an import again with the same sheet but change the id of the product. This won’t delete the bad ones but it will add them correctly
2 - do a search on the database using phpmyadmin and find all the tables that use that id. Delete every row that is associated with that id in the database and you should get most of it out… This is always a little tricky so be careful!
3 - is it not letting go to the product manage page and delete the product? Perhaps if you create a dummy product and then tried to see which fields got deleted when you deleted it you could use this as a road map for the fields you want to delete to get rid of these products…
