The Envision-It Winery demonstration website is now online! This site is set up to demonstrate the capabilities of the eirenicon llc/ Ambient Webs magento eCommerce web site development team.

Please note that we have incorporated some bits of our web 2/3 technology on the site (TreeMagic-Cypress is the technology we are using). Double-click any word on the Envision-It site to check it out.

We encourage you to visit and use the site.  But please be prudent! We will not actually process any transactions however please DO NOT use live financial information as the site is for demonstration purposes only!

The site is located at: http://envision-it.org

We hope you find the site informative and useful.

btw. anyone interested in using TreeMagic-Cypress on their site may do so (it is open-source).  Please contact me for the software and pointers on how to integrate it with magento. More info on this software may be found at: http://ambientwebs.com/portfolio/treemagic-products/treemagic-cypress/—please note this refers to the WordPress version of the tools.

Odd that it would do that.  I developed it using FF, Opera, IE7, Ephphany, flock and Sea Monkey—none of those seem to have problems from my end or user sites.  Do you have any type of error you might send along? Would you being to send a traceroute?

Anyone else seeing the same problem?

I have run some fairly extensive tests on the site including load speeds:
http://www.websiteoptimization.com/
http://www.iwebtool.com
http://www.selfseo.com/website_speed_test.php

and browser tests at http://browsershots.org/ --- (I ran 54 browsers) of the 54 browser dillo, ephiphany 2.2,shiretoko 3.1, were the only browsers which did not either load or render correctly. Just as an fyi...Safari and FF in Mac and Win worked correctly according to these tests.

it couldn’t finish loading, thus unable to see error.

I get this quite often with Safari when visiting some Chinese sites (heavy use of javascript and none are standard compliant), but when it happens, I either switch to FF or restart Safari and it usually works - my thought has always been that many Chinese sites don’t make websites that are compatible with Mac. Safari is also notorious about causing javascript error.

But it never happen that it freezes both Safari and FF, yours is the first one I encountered. With FF, I can see the ‘error icon’ from web developer toolbar, but that’s all I got because the browser is forzen, so I can’t click on anything.

Safari has PC version, I think you should download it and test it out.

Unfortunately I amunable to run Safari… I use Linux 8^)

I am able to test with Konqueror which provides the base code for Safari and the browser test site noted above says things are okay.  I am guessing there is a character set issue with Chinese ‘friendly’ browser settings.  Since I have made no changes in that regard I wonder do you ever get similar problems with other magento sites?  If not, would you be good enough to try the following sites and see if they also lock your browser up?

http://ambientwebs.com
http://wordpresshelp.org

If they lock your browser then it is likely a setting within TreeMagic-Cypress causing the problem.

Thank you for helping me identify this issue… I appreciate the help!

these two sites are OK.

Yours site is the only site that ever freezes my browsers. Just checked Opera, it gets frozen when loading 29/31 elements. So you just have to figure out what element is 29th. Since browser loads webpage from left to right, top to bottom, it’s not too difficult to find out.

I suspect maybe it’s homepage only, so I decided to test other pages starting from contact us, and I was able to see your site (hopefully) except the homepage

This is VERY curious.  According to Pingdom, the 29th element is a standard magento gif image.

The url for the image is: http://envision-it.org/skin/frontend/Envision-It/default/images/note_msg_icon.gif

We don’t get to an item I touched until item 35 which is the header.

When I use octagate to test the loading, item 29 is also another standard magento gif icon.

I am totally confused.

Is anyone else seeing this problem?????

Did you do anything? It’s not freezing now.

What webhost do you use? Your site loads very fast! May be it’s labor day that most people are not using internet?!
