I want to (and already know how to) convert the CSS files into PHP so that I can assign master colors once, then have them repeat everywhere they’re needed.
The only problem is I haven’t got a clue where to change the site to use a .php file instead of a .css file. You would think it would use the styles.css file that imports all the sheets, but changing that (or even deleting it) has no effect on my site. I’m in the right directory, editing the CSS files works, just not the styles.css file. I was hoping to just rename all the files styles.css imported to the extension .php to refer to my php versions.
What file tells magento which CSS file(s) to use?
Edit: Looks like I found it in app/design/frontend/default/default/layout/page.xml
