Hi everybody,

By default in magento, you can create filter for prices, select and multiselect.
This is OK for attributes like color, or manufacturer for example.

Now, i would like to create an attribute WEIGHT filterable with ‘Heavy’ or ‘Light’.
All products with weight > 100 would be heavy. It’s an example, we could have a size and the ranges Small, Medium and Large.

Any advices to do this ?

I guess i will have to create my own frontend_input attribute type. The value will be stored as an int but the filter process will use a new ‘range’ table.

is there an example of custom frontend_input ?

Thanks !
