My website is in production (magento 1.1.1) and I have a big problem with onepage.

With 10% of customers (only with IE6 I think), next Step loading breaks, in 2 different cases :
- When the customer is in billing step and click “continue” to choose shipping method.
- When the customer is in payment method step and click “continue”

In apache log, I see that :
xx.xxx.xxxx.xxx - - [26/Aug/2008:19:51:08 +0200] “POST /checkout/onepage/savePayment/ HTTP/1.1” 200 2293 “-” “Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)”
xx.xxx.xxxx.xxx - - [26/Aug/2008:19:51:15 +0200] “POST /checkout/onepage/savePayment/ HTTP/1.1” 200 2293 “-” “Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)”
xx.xxx.xxxx.xxx - - [26/Aug/2008:19:51:18 +0200] “POST /checkout/onepage/savePayment/ HTTP/1.1” 200 2293 “-” “Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)”

I’m with a basic theme with small modifications. (I have not modified “side-col").
I have deleted my js directory and put replace all files by new.

It’s a big loss for us and I don’ know what to do :(

Thanks for your help.
I can send web adress if someone could help me (by private message).

A precision :
This is a log of a customer which has succeed to go next stp

xx.xxx.xxx.xxx - - [26/Aug/2008:09:38:59 +0200] “POST /checkout/onepage/savePayment/ HTTP/1.0” 200 560 “http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/checkout/onepage/” “Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.30)”

You can see that there is “http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/checkout/onepage/” and not “-”

I have a feedback of one customer.

He says that he have the same problem with IE and Firefox (when choose the payment method and click “continue”, next step is loading).

It’s possible that the cause is an antivirus or...?

Nicolas,

Today I spent several hours trying to solve this problem, read a few threads here, but you only moved me in the right direction saying about antivirus.

I just checked it a few minutes ago - in my case it was a firewall (Norton Internet Security). As soon as I turned it off the checkout process immediately went fine.
