Can anyone verify that their google sitemaps functionality is working in 1.1.3?

That is after configuring:

Catalog -->Google Sitemap (sitemap file name and status)
System -->Catalog -->GoogleSitemap (sitemap settings)
System -->Advanced-->System (cron job settings)
System-->Advanced-->Advanced (toggle sitemap on)

that Magento is successfully creating a sitemap.xml file in the desired location?  If you have had success could you also please share any tips to make this work?

I read somewhere in the forum that it was fixed in this release, but have had no luck getting the sitemap to generate.

Thanks,
-roco

the post by simplehelix worked for me, step # 3
now to see if the sitemap will updated by cron…

Okay here is what I found to work:

#3
The most important part which most people forget:

To generate sitemap with id 1:
Point your browser to www.yourshop.com/admin/sitemap/generate/sitemap_id/1

where id is the id number you’ve gotten when you added the site map in step #2

Hope this helped.

Where do you get the ID number?

go to edit a sitemap (admin>catalog>google sitemap), then the sitemaps and their ids are listed.

The easiest way is to just edit a sitemap and change the url in the address bar from “edit” to “generate”
