I was trying to test building a custom module. i had created a helper file, realized i was not going down the right path and deleted that helper file. But now when i view the products page, the listing page errors out and indicates it is still looking for that same helper file. The file has already been deleted, is there somewhere in the db that I need to clear the module cache or something?
You didn’t write which kind of module that is but I had a similar problem with a payment module.
Delete the var-directory to remove the whole cache.
In my case (payment module) there was a reference in the sales_order_entity_varchar tables to the new module. After renaming the references to an existing payment module everything worked fine.
So check all the *_text and *_varchar tables for the name of your old module.
