Hello,

I have tried to commit bug fixes to the magento subversion repository but it was obviously forbidden. So my bug-fixes disappear each time I update Magento with Magento Connect.

Then, how could I contribute to magento source code with my bug-fixes ?

Thanks.

Maybe just explain how you solve the bug in a comment on the bug issue page. For exemple here : http://www.magentocommerce.com/bug-tracking/issue?issue=2865

In fact, the explanation is already known, i just wanted to port it into the source code of Magento.

I updated the bug tracker, but I thought I could do more wink

@poulpillusion
We always appreciate patches (created with TortoiseSVN, for example) for bugfixes.
A patch with ready solution - is the best You can do to contribute.

But only team developers/coders are eligible to contribute changes directly to repository.

Fixes the bug however a generic form input button shows for the add to cart, this also seems to be the case for the recently viewed products showing out of stock also, particularly in the home_*.phtml pages.

Here is a patch for :
- Recentrly viewed products
- Compared products
- New products

I also updated the bug tracker : http://www.magentocommerce.com/bug-tracking/issue/?issue=2834

Hope it helps.

Anyway, what is the problem with the input button being generic ?

I wasn’t able to attach files in the bug tracker’s comments. Anyway, “This issue was fixed and the changes will be available in Magento 1.1.4”. Don’t know if my patch has to do with it but i’m glad to see it corrected.

They are attached, but not shown to community. We see and use them.

I mean : you can attach files when you open a bug, but there isn’t such a functionnality for those who reply. So I wasn’t able to attach my path to my reply.

How does one become a team developer / coder with Magento? Is this only open to paid members of staff?
