I tried using Lazzymonks Default shipping method, but it only works for the “view cart” page...the buyer still has to set it again during OPC.

any ideas?

THis is because the quote object is cleaned when moving to the OPC.  All the “extimated” items are removed for the customer to select the correct details again.  If you have more than one shipping method defined then what one do you want selected? - Is this always the lowest cost?

What are you looking for the panel to do?
