Sorry for the duplicate, I have no idea how I managed to put the other post in the wrong place.  Anyway..

Hi everyone,
I’m using the latest version (as of 8/19/08) of the import tool.  Categories imported fine.  Product import never goes past 0%, even after I left it for literally 3 hours.

* Starting profile execution, please wait…
* Warning: Please don’t close window during importing/exporting data

* Categories processed 100% 15/15 records
* Products processed 0% 0/4463 records

Any ideas?

the beta version of the import tool?
i suggest updating if not.  because i had a complete breeze with it today, from a zencart site - customers, categories, products and orders flawlessly (which i was not expecting!).

Well, I installed the Beta version, but now I get this when I “check requirements”:

SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table ‘magento.languages’ doesn’t exist

I used phpMyAdmin to view the database, and there is no table by that name. I started another fresh install of Magento but that table doesn’t seem to exist!  I am just destined to fail apparently :(
