direct oscommerce orders import without creating new tables how??? help???
hey there...i’m trying to write a standalone script that will import osc orders into magento. i know there is a tool but the client that requested the script doesnt want a different set of tables that the osc import module creates.
they want it to fit directly into magento like a regular order.
i’ve tried studying the database structure and really can’t grasp it.
finding the code that creates orders to see how orders are created is even harder.
You’ll want to look at the controller files, those generally contain all the code for saving, i.e. the saveAction function. It can be a little difficult due to the EAV design over traditional database layouts. Take a look at that and that should get you on the right track.
