Just launched Jewelz N Thingz.

Running Magento 1.1.1 on SimpleHelix shared environment.

I’d love to hear some feedback.

Nice clean look, loads surprisingly fast on a shared host.

It’s unfortunate the picture quality doesn’t do justice to the actual items. I’d invest in a semi-pro light box/tent to get better lighting. Doesn’t cost much but yields much better pictures. I’m convinced you’ll sell more with brighter, more sparkling product pictures. More from different angles would also help.

Pictures aside, great effort.

It takes two to tango, so don’t blame Magento right away if things go tits-up!

I totally agree on the photos. Unfortunately the client provided the images prior to development and used their cheap point and shoot.

Here is a jewelry site that I have been working on.

http://www.alaskahandmadejewelry.com/

This one uses a light tent for the images which are then processed in PhotoShop.

I love this design. Nice & clean.
The icons go very well with the look and feel of the site.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments.  They are most appreciated.

The plan is to port the site over to Magento.  So far having an issue with the sample data set, but will give it another try as there is a new version out at this point.
