Compact all the folder /magento with winrar .

The archive include 12650 folders (60Mo) !

Deleted all .svn folders (11127 folders only used by Subversion). All subfolders and files are deleted (.prop-base, .props , ...).

And deleted 8 Thumbs.db files (only used by xp)

Now you have reduced to 1485 folders (11135 folders deleted ! The archive file size is “only” 48,5Mo !

It’s also possible to divide in 2 parts : magento.rar 6Mo and media.rar 42Mo.

I have a question…
Is’it possible to replace mysql4-install-0.6.0.php + 5 upgrade files (3 Mo) with a complete version (ex : mysql4-install-0.6.5.sql) ?

Future releases will be much smaller - you can count on that.

Somehow discussion of size is always unnecessary… (uhm...) LOL

It’s early development and has been presented as is, so the size is irrevelant at the moment. Even though I’m pretty sure Magento is the biggest at the moment in those terms. wink
