A, X, Y, and Z are stores that belong to My Website.
Each one of X, Y, and Z has its own products. However, all of these products are viewable by A, a store that has all items on My Website assigned to it as well.
When visitors decide to view store A (e.g. view all products regardless of store). I want them to be able to see store type in the layered navigation in A, to help them narrow down results.
What needs to be done:
The same product should exist with the attribute ‘store name’ on store A, but not on store X. More like an option to enable/disable this attribute based on store view. In store A, it’s on, but in store X, it’s off. Right now, magento seems to only allow change between X, Y, Z.
If there wasn’t a way to do the above, control over layered navigation’s display of this attribute would be great. As I only want it to appear in store A’s layered navigation, and not store X/Y/Z’s layered navigation.
Is there an easy way around this? or even a hard one?
