I’m just starting to look at the viability of offerting magento to my future ecom clients.
What is the status on UK shipping options? Is there to be (or already) a Royal Mail module?

I haven’t seen a Royal Mail module.  It’s not that difficult to implement, I added a Next Day service to mine without too many problems.

I’m using Table Rate for RM First Class (our delivery charge varies by order value) and then I have hijacked Flat Rate to do a one off charge for Special Delivery but ideally I would like to offer both types of delivery via table rate… is this what you have done?

Would be interested to know how you have achieved the Next Day service?

Hi,

At present my mail setup is quite simple:

Flat Rate - 1st Class Recorded - £2.99
New Mail Module - Next Day Delivery Flat Rate - £7.99
Free Shipping - Orders over £100

What I don’t have at present is ability to ship to other countries, so it may complicate things when I add that in. 

I’m running live with this, PM me for site information if you want to look at it.

There’s a Royal Mail extension available now for anyone interested (not mine), but I cant seem to get it to work ATM. Hopefully I will figure it out soon.

Has anyone managed to get around this yet?

Just putting the final touches to our site before it goes live and postage is one of them. We have what i think is a simple postage system;

£1.99 for the UK (set up as flat rate)
Free UK delivery on orders of +£35.00 (set up as free shipping)
£5.99 Rest Of the World (set up as table rates)

I am missing the option of UK next day delivery.

I was wondering if there is a way of using the table rates a little better (.csv), any thoughts?
