Is it just me or have table rates gone wrong again in the production version of 1.1?
I keep getting free shipping when there should be a charge and sometimes there is a charge when shipping should be free. They seemed to work a bit better in the Alpha.

Same here, mine just comes up as “Sorry, no quotes are available for this order at this time.” even when the tablerates.csv only has *,*,* (as in any destination).

Actually I don’t get that. I think it may be working fine. It is just that configurable products that I had set up previously the weight is being ignored.
I take it you had put:
*,*,*,0

mines works with:

“Country”,"Region/State","Zip/Postal Code","Weight (and above)","Shipping Price”
GBR,*,*,0.0000,0.1000
GBR,*,*,0.1000,3.5000
IRL,*,*,0.0000,4.0000

Hi there,

This is what I have in mine. So seems that I have it set up similar to yours.

“Country”,"Region/State","Zip/Postal Code","Weight (and above)","Shipping Price”
*,*,*,0.2000,10.0000
*,*,*,1.0000,30.0000
*,*,*,0.6000,20.0000

I’ve also had a try with this in the csv:
USA,*,*,1.0000,30.0000
USA,*,*,0.6000,20.0000
USA,*,*,0.2000,10.0000

So far I had no luck so I just went to a flat fee per item.

@radders have you been able to find a solution?

I am lucky have no error with v1.1.

But I don’t know why not use calculate rules.

As I know, there have 200 countries, and weight should be 0 to 0.5kg, 1kg, 1.5kg, 2kg, 2.5kg...... to 10kg..... to 100kg .....
If I set the shipping charge is free when the weight is over 50kg (just two cartons)
The weight parameter may have 100 per country (not include the cities option of each country)
That means the tablerate.csv has over 20,000 lines

I think it will be better if control it by rule
For example:
shipp 4.6kg goods from HK to USA, via DHL. the charge rule is first 0.5kg USD30 + USD10 per extra 0.5kg
So Total shiping charge = ( total goods weight - first 0.5kg) * USD10 + first 0.5kg charge
= (4.6kg - 0.5kg) * USD10 + USD30
= USD71
The rule can be designed by yourself simply.
Any idea abou the table-rate.csv ???

This bug was addressed in 1.1.2 update available.
