Hello,
I’m new to magento so I apologize if my question sounds lame.
I would like to upload an image and use it in a CMS page? (ex. in about-us)

I can’t find a similar functionality in the admin panel, and if I try to directly upload an image by ftp and fetch it using a browser I get a 404-Not found error!

Thanks for the help!
Alex

Hello Alex,

I suppose you have sucessfully uploaded the picture to the folder (let say /public_html/media/your_picture.jpg).

You can check that it is there by using: http://www.yourdomain.com/media/your_picture.jpg.

To use that picture in a CMS page, I recommend you to take a look at the code that already excist in the samples under the CMS (such as for the home page).

By adding something like this to the CMS page, you should be able to display your picture:

<p class="home-callout">
<img src="{{skin url=’media/your_picture.jpg’}}” border="0" />
</p>
