Our customers receive no order confirmation email! How do I enable it?
There’s a big difference between not getting an email and an email not being sent. First check whether it’s sending you one, when you do a dummy order, with a GMail, Hotmail, AOL and ISP email. Then check your server logs to see if an email was actually sent.
There are dozens of variables influencing how smooth email sending goes. Debugging is the key.
Also if you are using a language plug-in you may need to copy over some extra files to get emails working I have read. Can’t test this myself because I’m testing it out locally using XAMPP with no emails anyway.
Okay, I’ve cleared the “Send Order Email Copy To” field and now it is sending order confirmation emails, but it is sending them to the sender (in this case the “Sales Rep"). What is going on??? Is anyone else having this problem??
