Hey number25, What you do is take the same.index.php file that is located at the root of your magento folder. You make a copy of this file and name it whatever you want. Then you change the mage::run() to mage::app();
Below that line you can run just about any function the magento framework has to offer it doesnt run the template either so all you will see is your code when testing it.
