Ok…

So, I am evaluating a few plattforms (Ok lets be honest, in alphabetical order; Magento, MS Commerce Server, OSCommerce).

We’re a Third Party logistic provider, and we are working with a solution for our smaller customers (or their stores) to effectuate orders, and we would then upload the info required to the head office for invocing.

BUt, here is what i need.

1. Multiple Stores (Ok, Magento does this)
2. I want all items to be invisible to users that are not logged on.
3. Items for “Store-A” only visible to group “Store-A-Users” (Magento seem to do this)
4. I want to disable the possibility for new customers to register (We will input this data as needed).

So, Can we do this with Magento?

Yes.

Will require customization but possible.

3. Items for “Store-A” only visible to group “Store-A-Users” (Magento seem to do this)

Yes.

4. I want to disable the possibility for new customers to register (We will input this data as needed).

Will require light customization.

Actually, for “2”, would it be possible to “link” the login to a Basic Auth? As in; Simply hide the entire store from anyone not logged on?

All above mentioned feature is possible via our extension:
