Safari Browser Support

I used to use IE but with the Magento admin being such a hog on handling the categories and such, I started using Safari - it loads the product edit pages much faster (so does firefox)… anyway, today though I noticed I’m getting stuck at the cart screen and can’t checkout:

http://www.rpgshop.com/default/checkout/cart/

Then click the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button. :(

Though IE and Firefox both work fine yet to get to the one page checkout, the Safari browser just bounces back without error message to the cart summary screen.  I’m not positive if this has always been the case, but it concerns me.

Odd though, I went to my alternate domain/storefront and it DID work just now (though it wasn’t earlier I swear)…

Can someone have a look at my store and see if they can figure out what’s happening? Could it be related to the SSL certificate? I didn’t see any warnings in any browsers… but that’s really the only difference.

Ideas? (besides stopping the drugs I must be on)

James

Some more info… When I go to my site in Safari it shows this at the top:

Advanced Search WelcomeJames Mathe!
My Account My Wishlist (10 itemsMy Cart (4 itemsCheckout Log Out

But if I hit the “My Cart” link I get this:

Advanced Search WelcomeJames Brackett!
My Account My Wishlist (6 itemsMy Cart (1 itemCheckout Log Out

Which seems like it logged me into someone else or a 0 customer since I’ve also had some troubles with guests checking out even when that’s turned off. Notice though that it’s not me and the cart’s not mine… so this is not limited to just my 2nd store front. If I then hit the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT graphic button, it fails and bounces me back. Hey probably cause the customer data got crapped out somehow eh?  If I click the MY ACCOUNT at this point, it takes me to the login screen or the logged out notice - so the system is figuring out that something is wrong.

But if I had clicked the “Checkout” link on that header instead, then it works and took me to the checkout page.

So, is this a cookie problem with using Safari?  Something I’m missing? Any staff want to check my site?  Should I post this as a bug in 1.01 ?

P.S. James Brackett is a valid customer entity_id = 68764 in my database.

Any luck with this bug?

I’m experiencing my own weirdness with Safari/Chrome support:

I’m getting the same problem - can’t check out with Safari. This is pretty dire.

IT’s been a long time since I tested this and I’m not sure if it went away with something we did or not, I assume it did since it’s not been reported. But customers being as they are they probably wouldn’t report it. Plus most of my traffic still goes to my orignal site. I’ll post if i find the bug/reason.
