Hi, i have a client that we create a store with magento, but now he needs to export the customers data to other database with md5() encryptation… how could it be donne? because i found the passwords at db and its not md5() format....

Plz help…

In the table customer_entity_varchar you will find attribute_id = 8 is the md5 encrypted customer password.

tks… i know the hash is there bu its not md5 hash look

password in magento eg. 102030

and password in the other system who use md5()

can you see.... isnt the same…

you can use this tool to creat md5 hash if you want

It’s salted md5 hash, os commerce forks use the same

$saltedHash md5($salt.$password).':'.$salt;

ok.... tks… is possible to revert the salted md5 hashs to just md5 hash?

Hi, where bouts did you find that code? And do you know how the $salt is generated (ie, using username? real name?) Only I want to look at fully integrating an opensource forum with the list of registered users…

$salt is just a random string (length of 2 chars is currently used)
you can find it in Mage_Core_Helper_Data::getHash() method
