Has anyone used this feature? If so, how does it work? Can’t find any documentation on it!

I have been trying to learn about the Gallery input type as well… anyone out there… Magento Team?

Gallery input type is for images galleries. Just as the gallery used for products images. Take a look at “gallery” default attribute (or may be in sample data).
You could have several galleries for an attribute set.

I would also appreciate some documentation. Hopefully an attribute can be selected from an image.

Is there any documentation on the gallery attribute type? I’ve been searching for hours and can’t find any documentation or descriptions on how this can be used.  I am assuming it’s an easy way to maintain multiple images for products, but I am lost as to how to set that up. Examples would be great. (any help would be great). Thanks!

What about to choose in the “Catalog Input Type for Store Owner” a URL? I mean I would like to add links to the manufacturer’s site on my product description.
Is it possible? Anyone?

I’m searching to do the same thing. Do you have succeeded to do this ?

Maybe with function addAttribute with the Magento Installer ?
