How do I create a lifetime membership fee?

I want to do something like Sam’s Club or Costco does, where they charge you a certain amount every year to shop at the store.

Well I’d like to do something similar, only I’d like the option to charge a 1 time lifetime membership fee when someone becomes a member.
Is this possible in any way with Magento?

Anyone know? This is urgent.

That would require some custom coding.

If it’s “urgent” I’d recommend hiring someone that can do it.

Ehh, I don’t know, that’s almost $200. I don’t think it’s worth it.

It would cost you that much or more to have it custom coded.

Maybe it isn’t that “urgent” after all?  smile

You misunderstood what I meant by urgent.

It was an urgent DECISION I had to make, whether to include a membership in my business plan or not (and I had to decide quickly for reasons that’ll take too long to explain). I don’t feel that almost $200 will justify the purchase so I’ve decided NOT to purchase it.

I think you thought that I meant that I needed to BUY it urgently.

Well, I guess it depends what you are planning on charging for a membership fee.

Assuming it was $10 you would only need 20 members to pay for it. If you don’t foresee reaching 20 members/customers then you don’t need a business plan. wink
