Has anyone created an AMI image of Magento for Amazon’s Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2). Has anyone tried running Magento on Amazon’s cloud computing infrastructure? Thoughts would be appreciated.
I have created an amazon image for magento with nginx. varnish, php (with eaccelerator, php-fpm and all the extensions magento needs) and mysql. take a look.
hi
go to amazon aws panel,
start instance in your Region,
select ubuntu image. takes time to start and activate…
go to Elastic IP, assign one to your instance.
configure ports 22 and 80 to be open in your security groups.
get ssh key, (ssh login information you can find in amazon manual)
configure Putty or Kitty,
login to your container, install php-fpm, nginx.
then go to RDS create database.
paste endpoint to your local.xml
We have just released our new AWS services with fixed priced setup of applications including Magento on the AWS free tier (valid for new customers for one year) using a custom web server instance, setup is $119 and installed the same day, the only pre-requisite is that you have an active AWS account and a domain name.
