After agreeing to the Open Software license I land on the next page “Localization” where only the following content is displayed. I am not able to enter any information here, nor does a continue button appear. What could be wrong ? I have uploaded the files via ftp in binary mode, applied all the rights as requested and the installation check script confirms that the server will handle magneto (except that the has function is missing).

Thank you very much,

Wolfgang

Just a brief update:
From my php info file hash seems to be enabled, yet it is not working when I try a snippet that converts a number to a hash. Also I have looked into my error log and see the following:

PHP Fatal error:  Call to undefined function hash() in /srv/www/vhosts/domain.tld/httpdocs/magento/app/code/core/Zend/Cache/Backend/File.php on line 622, referer: http://domain.tld/magento/index.php/install

I have tried changing the hash function as described here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/5257/ but this also doesn’t seem to work.

Hello,

I have the same problem - after the license agreement I get the same screen as you. All my php settings and packages seems to be OK. I have just reinstalled the server OS and set up everything from scratch - guess what .. same error.

Have you found something already?  I am stuck.

Regards

Georg

Well for me it turned out to be the fact that my hash function was missing. Run the preinstallation check offered from the mgento team to see if you are missing anything. If that all should be ok but you are still not coming forward install Firefox with firebug and look at the last process that is being called.

All the best,

Wolfgang

It is possible that you need something like this extension Advanced SEO Suite http://mirasvit.com/magento-extensions/advanced-seo-suite.html
