I have noticed that there are two phtml file as..

app/design/frontend/default/default/template/page/html/top.links.phtml

&

app/design/frontend/default/default/template/page/template/links.phtml

As i understand, ../links.phtml is responsible for showing up top links like ‘My Account | My Cart | Check Out | Log In’

1. I want to know, when top.links.phtml comes into play and how?.

2. I want to change ‘My Cart’ text in ‘My Account | My Cart | Check Out | Log In’ to ‘My Bag’, so that it will look like
‘My Account | My Bag | Check Out | Log In’.

someone help me plz

rolleyes

Chan,

in the layout-file checkout.xml, you’ll find at the very beginning the following lines

<reference name="top.links">
            <
block type="checkout/links" name="checkout_cart_link">
                <
action method="addCartLink"></action>
                <
action method="addCheckoutLink"></action>
            </
block>
        </
reference>

Comment out the first action so that it looks like

<reference name="top.links">
            <
block type="checkout/links" name="checkout_cart_link">
                <!--
                <
action method="addCartLink"></action>
            -->
                <
action method="addCheckoutLink"></action>
            </
block>
        </
reference>

Clear the cache

Reload the page.

Now, if you want to make the solution update-proof, first copy the checkout.xml-file in your own design directory.

Gr,
Charles
