It would be great if magento had Endicia support built in for those of us who use USPS. smile

I currently use Endicia and would second the recommendation for Endicia support.

I’m currently working with the Endicia software to have it pull the data from the Magento database an import it into the Galaxy Ship software… or something like that. I was told that it should be possible, so I’m going to make it happen.

I use endica to print all my labels for my company and the way we do it us just once the orders are charged they go into a que were we then download a xml file with the info in it, We just drop that file in a folder on the shipping computer and all our labels print.

Mabie something like this would work for magento.

I would also like endicia integration. In my experience with endicia what I did was imported into Tarantula and printed from there, with a custom output csv file.

Along with Endicia for USPS, I think many people would like to see CanadaPost, HK Post, German Post etc Plugins for Magento as it would be useful tools.

One thing to note on the plugins is always have 2-way communication, so upon shipping you can import the corresponding tracking numbers to those orders in an automated fashion.

I too would like to see support for Endicia as it’s a hassle having to check to see if the customer’s latest order shipping address is the same as his previous order’s address…

I was able to get Galaxy Ship to connect to a Magento database using the MySQL ODBC connector and using a SQL view I setup to list all the relevant information needed for processing a shipping label.

Shipping SQL View

During my research and getting this to work with Galaxy Ship I found out that the newer versions of the MySQL ODBC Connector seem to have some kind of problem with Galaxy Ship, and you must use an orders version of the connector. Version 3.51.12 was the suggestion I read on one forum.

You can download the older version from MySQL’s Archives:

I would really like this as a component add-on.

Endicia will be integrated in the Magento Shipping Labels Module. Some info on the group is here:
http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/view/278/

However, pl note that it’s only for US-originated shipping.

Haven’t seen much movement on the topic of Endicia integration… Any updates on availability?

Our company uses Shipworks, http://www.shipworks.com. It then syncs with Endicia. It is a pretty good software and saves tons of time. And Shipworks connects to your magento store and downloads orders. The downside though is that you need to pay for both shipworks and magento but if processing a lot of orders it should not be a problem.
