Magento

Hi,
My magento setup has two stores...i am able to get to my second store which points to:

http://localhost/magento/secondstore?store=secondstore

however, when i assign a new category to the new store, even though i am able to see it in the top nav, but when I click on the category, it takes me to:

http://localhost/magento/secondstore/newcategory but when it does this it gives me a page not found...but if i were to append the string “?store=secondstore” to the end of the above url...like below

http://localhost/magento/secondstore/newcategory?store=secondstore

it would show the proper category.

how can i configure it so that i don’t need to have the “?store=secondstore” and still load up the proper categories for the new store?
