Hi!

I just ran a search for “<a href="http://www.magentocommerce.com/search/results/?q=newsletter&eq;_lk=boards" target="_blank">newsletter</a>" in the forums on the Magento site. All the results that come up are pretty useless as they are practically blank pages except for the Newsletter navbar on the right column. Could this be removed from the search indexing?

Cheers.

The results of the search are coming from Google so we’ll check to see what we can do.

In the meantime, you can run a search with the following string that will give the results you expect:

newsletter -"Magento Newsletter" -"Subscribe to our newsletter and keep up with the latest Magento news and events."

Search Results for the above string

I have found that if you are trying to search the forums, you get much better results by going direct to the forum search facility.

Roy: Would it be possible to get a link to this on the forum pages? I think it would solve a lot of people having to repeat a question that has been answered before!
