Hi,

I read about new versions of Magento being released but when I log in to Magento Connect it appears like no new version is available.

Lib_Google_Checkout 1.0.18800.1 1.0.18800.1 stable Google Checkout Library
Lib_Js_Calendar 1.0.18800 1.0.18800 stable Js Calendar library
Lib_Js_Mage 1.0.19700 1.0.19700 stable Magento Javascript libraries
Lib_Js_Prototype 1.0.19700 1.0.19700 stable Prototype and Scriptaculous JS Libraries
Lib_Varien 1.0.19700 1.0.19700 stable Varien library
Lib_ZF 1.0.19700 1.0.19700 stable Zend Framework library for Magento
Lib_ZF_Locale 1.0.19700 1.0.19700 stable Zend Framework Locale Part
Mage_Downloader 1.0.19700 1.0.19700 stable MagentoConnect Manager

I also have to Themes installed but I would assume that this does not affect the ability to upgrade Magento, am I right?

Package Name Installed Available State Actions Summary
LinenTheme 0.6.5 beta A clean, stretchy theme.
TelescopeTheme 0.6 beta New theme

The Magento Connect update worked before, so I am a bit clueless whats wrong now.
Any ideas?

My Magento Connect isn’t showing updates either, specifically for the Protx Direct module:

B4Before_ProtxDirect 1.0.11 beta Protx Direct Payment Module

The current version is actually 1.0.12

FYI, a reinstall does update to the new version, and also retains settings.

I don’t know if this can be of any help, but I had the same problem (no updates was showing in Magento Connect). Further, it showed sucessful installation of extentions, but they didn’t work. As I was trying to install a payment module, this made a new directory named magentocommerce, and duplicated some of the magento folders, such as app, etc.

Before this, my host company had helped me move the installation files from /magentocommerce/ over to the root.

I did and complete reinstallation, and this time I installed magento to the root. This fixed the last problem, but it is still not showing updates in Magento Connect.

Hi,

I just deactivated the cache and now it shows the new version in Magento Connect.
I am just surprised it already shows 1.1 as stable even though the blog seems to still classify it as beta.

@martinschm: That’s just a misleading columns order in the old Magento Connect Manager as those labels refer to the extensions you have already installed and not to the ones that are available remotely. It shouldn’t let you to upgrade as actually those 1.1 packages are in BETA stability state.
To be able to continue getting STABLE updates for 1.0 (and not upgrade to 1.1 BETA) - upgrade Mage_All_Latest to 1.0.19875 with ‘Preferred State’ selected to ‘Stable’ in the Setting tab of your Magento Connect Manager. This will install the new Magento Connect Manager that will allow you to select the version you want to upgrade to.
Please don’t forget to backup everything (Magento folder and database) first.

Hi,

currently the Magento Connect page shows the following with preferred state set to STABLE:
Lib_Google_Checkout 1.0.18800.1 1.1.0 stable Google Checkout Library
Lib_Js_Calendar 1.0.18800 1.0.18800 stable Js Calendar library
Lib_Js_Mage 1.0.19700 1.1.0 stable Magento Javascript libraries
Lib_Js_Prototype 1.0.19700 1.1.0 stable Prototype and Scriptaculous JS Libraries
Lib_Varien 1.0.19700 1.1.0 stable Varien library
Lib_ZF 1.0.19700 1.1.0 stable Zend Framework library for Magento
Lib_ZF_Locale 1.0.19700 1.1.0 stable Zend Framework Locale Part
Mage_Downloader 1.0.19700 1.1.0 stable MagentoConnect Manager

I don’t see any way of installing 1.0.19875.
What’s the trick?
