hi,
I have uploaded some sample table rates directly into the database and enable the Table Rates for All Countries.

I can see my country_id and region_id and the shipping_tablerates are there.

When I check out, selecting the Country (with sample rates), it gives me the above message.

I have ensured the weight of the product is set within the rate (I am using package_weight in my Table Rates).

What does the message actually mean?

Can someone please help me? Thank you very much.

hi,
My problem started when I tried to import my csv file with Region/State of a non-US country. Then I found out I had to manually insert these into database tables. The US states are all pre-defined in the tables.

I then followed the usual way to export the csv file template, use Excel to enter some sample rates and import it again. Did a refresh on cache. It works. Hope this helps.

regards,

My country is consist of 30+ provinces.
Each province has about 10+ cities, and each city has different shipping cost according to product weight.
The shipping freight has 3 -5 shiping type (same day, 1-3 days, and so on).

Hi oxygen,
I’m getting the same error and not sure what wrong with my site..

I entered ‘tablerates’ manually into the database… because the import function not working for me. Everything works fine and i can see the complete region&price;list when I export tablerates.

But on the shopping page (3rd step-Shipping Method), I got these error: “Sorry, no quotes are available for this order at this time.”

I’ve tried to clear the cache, but still doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

Hey all,
I just recently ran into this problem.  I wasn’t dealing with international rates, nor did I manually edit anything.

However, I found that when importing the CSV file, Magento will not accept it when I edit and save using Excel.  I just used a text editor to open up the file and made sure that each value had double quotations around it and saved it.  Uploaded it and it worked fine.  Maybe this will help.

Here is what the CSV file looked like after I finished editing it in the my text editor:

“Country”,"Region/State","Zip/Postal Code","Weight (and above)","Shipping Price”
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"0”,"6"
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"1”,"10"
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"2”,"12"
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"3”,"14"
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"4”,"16"
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"5”,"18"

wow.. magento is very promising yet suffers these minor bugs that should be fixed asap.  how can they expect .csv files not to be opened in excel?  i had to open it in textedit on the mac, and simply copy and paste the first line, paste it and edit the numbers. here’s how it looked.

“Country”,"Region/State","Zip/Postal Code","# of Items (and above)","Shipping Price”
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"1”,"3.95"
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"3”,"5.95"
“USA”,"*”,"*”,"5”,"7.95"
“*”,"*”,"*”,"1”,"7.95"
“*”,"*”,"*”,"3”,"9.95"
“*”,"*”,"*”,"5”,"12.95"

hi,
Please see my post #12 in this thread regarding table rates and csv file.

http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/10425/

In Excel csv file, the values are in their own cells, all together 5 columns.

regards

Just another note, you don’t require double quotations for the values in Excel csv file.

Personally I find it very convenient to use Excel as I can easily update my rates using formula whenever necessary.

This worked, I wish they had something in the documentation about this! Thanks!

Another possible reason for this (which I haev just discovered) is as follows…

I had a csv file with weight / destination shipping method specified.

The minimum weight specified in my csv file was heavier than the weight of my actual item - hence the message.

Example : my smallest shipment to the uk was set “GBR * * 0.5 8” in the csv file

but the weight was 0.25 so it wasn’t included. Hope this helps someone!!!

ps. Excel works fine when I save me csv file

Hi guys,

I’ve been working on a true OnePageCheckout module and of course i have stumbled on a few problems. Perhaps someone here can assist?
For now I have the billing-, shipping-, shipping_method- and payment module on the same page, no klicking in between.

I get this message “Sorry, no quotes are available for this order at this time.” the reason might be I haven’t saved any customer information when loading the page which is obvious.

My question is: does anyone know how to rewrite the modules with predefined values so the shipping_method module can retrieve the shipment modules?
