I am having massive problems since upgrading my magento to the latest releases.

All my imports of stock and products were working fine, but now I cannot get the stock level import to work.  Products seem to be o.k

Here is the error message:

Skip import row, is not valid value “” for field “type”

I have tried exporting as xml, csv, etc.  uploading via local, changing options etc.  but nothing is working.

There are only 2 fields i need changing for stock and am using the default mapped fields.

Any help would be much appreciated - as this is killing my business literally!

I have the same problem, But I dont think it is because of the new version 1.1.6 - I mean I have had this situation in earlier versions.

Try saving the import file in UTF-8

If it does not work - try export - and then import the one you just have exported. Maybe you can see a difference.

Yep, I’m having this issue too. 1.1.6.

Actually, my issue isn’t entirely the same. What’s happening here: I can import everything and, even though it gives me the Skip import row, is not valid value “” for field “type” error, it updates the stock levels fine. The only problem is that it also sets almost everything to be Out of Stock, even things that don’t have 0 qty. I can mass change attribute to fix it, but showing that to the client is going to look rather hacky.

could you give me the Profile XML for importing the stocks ?

maybe its not the correct on… after updating from 1.1.8 to 1.2.0.1

i mean without “type” and “attribut_set”
