I edited the securesite rules in the system config saved changes and now I cannot get into the admin.

How can I manually set the backend not to use https:// which file is it in ?

try to use phpadmin and edit the database manually.
go to the database and find the core_config_data table
change web/secure/use_in_adminhtml column from a 1 to a 0

You might need to reload the config data if it doesn’t work, haven’t tried or don’t know how to manually reload configs data or clear the cache manually...if anyone knows how..please advise.
